Steven Weinberg is a member of Gottesman, Wolgel, Flynn & Weinberg, P.C., since 1987 he has focused his practice on director and officer liability, fidelity and surety law.  Steve has extensive experience representing receivers in United States Small Business Administration receiverships, and is a court-appointed receiver for a United States Securities and Exchange Commission receiver.  Steve has experience with litigation on contract and miscellaneous bonds, employment practices and director and officer liability.  Prior to his time at Gottesman, Wolgel, Steve was an Assistant District Attorney in Queens County.

Steve is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, Northern District of New York, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.  Steve has also been admitted to practice pro hac vice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  Steve received his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University and his Bachelor of Arts from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton.  Steve is a member of the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, of the Surety Claims Institute, of the International Association of Defense Counsel, of the New York State Bar Association, and of the New York County Lawyers Association.  Steve is a contributor to the DRI for the Defense magazine, Surety Claims Institute Newsletter and the IADC Fidelity and Surety Newsletter.
